Latest News - about Casa Alimas - and Luz

June 2015: New Road from Motorway  The new road that runs from the Continente/Modelo roundabout in Lagos across to the Quatro Estradas (the roundabout for Luz) is now open. This means when exiting the motorway, you can now exit right at the first roundabout on the motorway link road and this will bring you out at the roundabout for Luz.

March 2014: New Bathroom  Following on from the refurbishment of bathrooms for two of the bedrooms in 2012, we have now completely refurbished the ensuite bathroom for the master (double) bedroom.  As well as all new fittings, we have added a luxury spacious walk-in shower, in addition to a new bath.

March 2012:  New Bathroom We have completely refurbished the main bathroom, (near the front door). In addition to complete new plumbing, modern tiles, and a new bathroom suite, we have added a walk in shower in addition to the bath.  We have also made a new (second) entrance to the bathroom, giving direct access from the large twin room.  The completion of this project means all bedrooms now have ensuite facilities.

March 2012:  New Shower Room  We have built an ensuite shower room for the smallest (twin) bedroom.

June 2011:  New Pool Annexe  We have built a new wooden structure on the pool patio beside the villa. This is currently open fronted and can be used to store pool furniture, toys, etc. away from the wind.

May 2010: New Patio Furniture We've upgraded the patio furniture, with new sun loungers around the pool and a new tiled table with cushioned chairs on the balcony.

June 2009:  We have now obtained an
Alojamento Local or 'AL' Licence for Casa Alimas, which means we fully comply with the requirements for "local accommodation" on short-term or seasonal rentals, as laid down by the Portuguese government.

May 2009:   Broadband at Casa Alimas 
We have now installed fast broadband at the villa.  This is now free of charge.  To access it, you will need to bring your laptop or mobile device equipped with wi-fi.

Other recent additions to equipment in the villa include a new widescreen LCD TV and an iPod docking station system.

Rent With Confidence  We appreciate the concerns of holiday-makers booking a holiday villa with a private owner.  What if the property isn't as described online? What if it doesn't exist at all?  To alleviate these fears, we can always provide you with the email addresses of previous guests.
