Weather in the Algarve

The Algarve is characterised by blue skies, sunshine and warm temperatures in spring, autumn and winter - and even more sun and high temperatures in the summer.

Year round, flowers and vegetation grow in abundance, thanks to the region's sub tropical climate.

Average Temperatures

The Algarve has an all-year- round mild climate, avoiding frosts in winter and extreme heat in the summer.  Having said that, in 2003 and 2004 the August temperatures consistently exceeded 30 degrees C. As a result we have now installed air conditioning!
